Abbott Northwestern Center for Reproductive Medicine, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, (Minneapolis, Minnesota). Some of these donor numbers are the same as the University of Utah's donor numbers (University of Utah and this place had some sort of sharing agreement). She was good in biology & played volley ball in high school.
Our Donor was the only child born to a mother who worked as Dental Hygienist, and father, who was a bank president. She got her AA degree, and became a Laser technologist, where we assume she heard about becoming a donor(?). She said her reason for donating was to give other people the gift of being a parent. She had a 2-3yo son at the time she interviewed to become a donor with the clinic. She brought her son to the interview, and the social worker/interviewer said she was a patient & kind parent, which is partially why I chose her. She was also somewhat shy. To us, she was an angel. In her medical history she left the questions about allergies blank, and our children have food allergies to peanuts/tree nuts, etc. I wondered if her child/ren have food allergies, too(?). At the time of her egg retrieval, she gave us a little stuffed animal. She had no way of knowing that we would conceive twins, and we purchased another stuffed animal matching her gift, for the other twin. We also gave her a necklace with 2 pearls after we conceived twins. I am hoping to eventually connect my children if they want to with her, her children, &/or the children that were born via her donation.

NOTE: DONOR # may have changed in the transfer from originating facility to the end-user facility. This donor donated at another (and now out-of-business) facility in Wash. DC, which supplied other facilities with sperm donations both in the DC and Minnesota areas. It is possible that the donations were even more widespread. I know that I have at least one offspring because I was called back after I stopped donating and asked if I would supply more sperm donation for parents (the nominal father of whom was Scandinavian origin, as I am) who already had one of my offspring and wanted him/her to have a full-blooded brother/sister 2nd child. I did so. My son with my own name and who lives with me is 18 and would like to find matches so he could meet his brother(s)/sister(s). I, too, would like to be in touch with (or preferably meet) my offspring.
Our donor is easy going, quiet, thoughtful, creative, and friendly. She is also kind, happy, intelligent, optimistic, and caring.
She said she wanted to be an egg donor to help families who are unable to have children. She has a sister in law who is unable to have children and knows what a blessing it would be for someone to have this opportunity.
