Procedure was done under Dr. Gottesfeld who was at the Women's Health Clinic by Rose Medical Center. Donor might have been around age 31 in 1985. Also believe the semen was transported by taxi cab right before insemination which would have been around feb/march 1985. Might have been blood type O+. There may have been a lady in the office by the name of Jan.
I was a sperm donor in Southern New Jersey in the early '80s. I am registering for the possibility of learning about my genetic offspring.
This was a private Ob/Gyn/Fertility practice, the name of the doctor was Phil Slipyan MD in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Donor was a tall with brown hair, brown eyes and olive skin. Medical student. He had 3 children or there were 3 donor children other than me. He had a blood type other than my moms, so anything not 'O+' pet her request. He donated at least between 1986-1988, my mom got pregnant twice with this donor although she lost one before me in 1986. I have very little information but recently purchased a DNA test via ancestry.com.
Here are a few characteristics that I know about our donor:
Light Brown Hair
Hazel/Green Eyes
Fair Skin
British, Irish, Italian
A- or A+ blood type
Was probably between 5'8" to 5'10" - I'm 5'0" and my brother is 5'9"
We both have smaller teeth with a slight gap in the middle
We both have chubbier cheeks too
My Mother was inseminated by Dr. Winters at Kaiser Medical Center Oakland or SF
Donor was more than 80% Ashkenazi (based on my DNA test). Mom was told he was likely a med student.
I have green eyes, and dark brown hair with two small patches of hair that grow out auburn. Light complexion but tan and freckle easily.
I do not know a lot about my sperm donor but I was told he was going to school to be a doctor and was norwegian. My donation took place in a clinic in Santee, CA in 1985.

Hi! My name is Linda Monsalve and I will be 22 on August 5. I was born in 1981
in Huntsville, AL. I have very limited information, but I am hoping that every
little bit will help. The Dr.'s office where my mother had the procedure done
was at a Dr. Bramm's office in Huntsville. The description of the donor was that
he was a med student (I don't know where from), had dark hair, dark eyes and he
had olive skin tones. I am hoping to find out more info and if I do, I will post
it. Thanks!

I really don't know too much. From what my mother remembers, the donor was a med student in Minnnesota (Twin cities area). The donor was approx. 6 ft tall and she thinks blonde hair. It was a fresh specimen probably around Feb 1981. The clinic was actually in Robbinsdale, MN- based on info from my mother. Just recently found out and am looking for anything. Don't know where to look or even get any donor info. Mother kept nothing. I was born two months early, so donation was early 1981.
My parents lived in Reading, PA and went to Dr. Pellegrini. I am 40% Italian from donor (my mother is Portuguese). I have brown hair, light brown eyes, olive skin, 5 3 and 140 lbs. Im looking to connect with donor and donor siblings.
"No significant personal medical history, no history of STDs. No significant family medical history"
Pregnancy occurred March 1980. No specimens available from IGO when sought around 1984
I donated in Boston approximately from 1978 to 1981. It was a private doctor located near the end of the Green Line. I don't remember his name. He did say that there were about a number of successful births.
I also donated in San Francisco from 1981 to 1984. The doctor's office was located across from a college or university. Both doctors said there were successful births.
Received donated sperm via Robert Hahn, MD in Colorado Springs, CO during 1988 and 1989 (initially frozen and in 1989 fresh). Was told around 1992 when I tried for a second pregnancy via same donor that this donor had reached his quota (I believe 3) locally and could no longer be used.
I would guess that this donor is in the medical field (?).
Looking for a donor living in the Denver aea in 1986 who donated at Dr. Lloyd Shield's office. Donor is of swedish decent and is 6'3"-6'4", 230 lbs., with O+ blood type. Blond hair, blue eyes. Great sense of humor. Professional in the area-probably with children of his own.

Hi. I was DC in Grand Forks, ND, but they shipped the sperm in from somewhere else. My best guess is MN. I was conceived in March 1984. My donor is German and Eastern European and has ties to the St. Cloud MN area. He wears glasses, is slightly overweight, and suffers migraines. He is either a doctor or a teacher. Carrier for or has hereditary fructose intolerance
My mom was inseminated in 1981 in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. My
dad was 6ft to 6'1" and caucasian. He was probably affiliated with
the university of hawaii. Can anyone help me?
Dr. Veasy Buttram coordinated the sperm insemination. I have a description and an approximate age. At the time the donor looked approximately 26-28 years of age wearing a scrub outfit carrying a backpack -- possibly a medical student, 6'2", slim build, long slim fingers, flushed cheeks -- maybe ran to the building, straight brown hair, straight profiled nose.

The University of Massachusetts Medical School at Worcester,
Massachusetts provides a few interns and residents each year
to work at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
as part of their medical education.
On August 27, 1982 I was inseminated with (fresh) sperm from a
male intern or resident then working at Berkshire Medical Center
and conceived a baby. This occurred at the Pittsfield,
Massachusetts office of ob/gyn Dr. Fredric Levison, who was in
practice at the time with Dr. Michael Schreefter and Dr. (???)
Reder as Berkshire OB/GYN at 510 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
My daughter was born May 22, 1983 at the same Berkshire
Medical Center. She is now 20 years of age, and would like to
identify and contact her father, if he is willing to be contacted. She
is especially interested in learning about her father's
background, medical and otherwise. Neither of us wishes to
impose on the father to establish a relationship.
Although we had not considered whether the sperm donor might
have fathered other children, we are now interested in
ascertaining that also. Note that my medical records of the
insemination do not identify the father, although the records of
either the University of Massachusetts Medical School or
Berkshire Medical Center would no doubt list the names of male
interns and residents who were working at Berkshire Medical
Center in August 1982. My doctor Fredric Levison, who has now
retired, made no record of the name of the donor and always
claimed he did not know his identity.
I don't know any details about the donor except that he must have donated around 1982, I was born in December of that year.
But I'm 6'5'', straightish dark brown hair, brown eyes with some green. Please read my profile for more info.
My donations were to the same clinic and were used fresh. I have the dates of all donations. I would consider identifying myself to resulting offspring which would now all be over 18.

My mother was artificially inseminated at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick New Jersey on March 2 and 4 1987. Doctor Michael Bohrer assisted the procedure. I was born that following November
I donated sperm about 20 times or so at a clinic in Buffalo, New York. The name of the clinic I do not recall. I would welcome the chance to get in touch with any offspring who are likewise interested.
Registered with ancestry. closest relative was possible 2nd cousin. Registered with 23 and me In DEC 2017, there were results going back many generations (1177 possible up to 8th cousins). Recently, JULY 2018 there was a match and we are now in early stage. I feel that in the 1980's donors were used for male infertility and often married couples would keep this a secret--now there are other methods including in vitro. I can imagine how parents could plan on telling their children later, when they could handle it, and wind up never finding just the right time.
donor manhattan approx1980-1988. I was a donor for various doctors. Other than idant, all specimens were not frozen.
The doctors I worked with frequently (many appointments over several years)included

Dr. O'Leary--Approx 59th and 5th Ave, Dr. Sellinger-CPW and W 63, Dr. Lehfeldt, Park Ave and approx 70th, and other office .
Dr Decker--Park Avenue and 77th st.
Other venues/physicians used rarely Idant (couple of times 1980), Dr Wan, Bellvue Hospital , Beekman Hospital,
Dna profile at CABRI, including some X and Y, 67 test for y.
My health is good, and hope to share this and other background information. So far as of
posted on ancestry dna and on23 and me.

I am the mother of a son born thru DI. He was conceived with the help
of Dr. N. Wakim who was affliated with the Medical College of Ohio at
Toledo. I am interested in knowing what sperm bank was used. I was
never told and have no donor number. The proceedure was done in Oct.
1988. I remember being told that the donor was 6 ft. tall, English,
good in history and english and was Rh-. Can anyone help please?
I am a mother of a boy conceived by DI. This procedure was performed through Dr. Royice Everett in Oklahoma City, OK. It would have been a fresh sperm donation in late 1982, most likely December. My son is especially curious about health issues and what the donor looks like. We would like to hear from anyone who thinks that they could possibly be our donor. Donor was possible a medical student in Oklahoma City, OK
Cryobank (or Clinic): Private practice or Dr. Gary J Leclair, located
in Eugene, Oregon. He continues to practice medicine to this day.
Donor Number: None given.
Year of donation: 1982
Donor Description: All I know is that they were a college student and
they passed the health exam.
Dr. W.F. Howard was my doctor. The clinic was called Reproductive Endocrinolgy and Fertility Medicine. Catherine Grimes was the assistant in Dr. Howards office. His office was located in Carrollton, Texas. The donor had donated 10-13 times to other families and was successful. In December of 1984 the donor was going out of the country to do medical work overseas. I was told he was not going to be used as a donor any longer because of the siblings he had produced thus far. I would very much like the donor to contact me if any of this info seems familar to you. I have a good idea what the donor may look like. My 18 yr old, 6'3" son, may very well look just like him.
My mother was inseminated in Houston of 1987 around November to December, because my birthday is August 23, 1988 . My blood type is AB+ and hers is B-, so the donor must have been A+ or AB+ . Im very fair skinned and have curly brown hair and brown/dark hazel eyes. Im 5 1.
Degree from Duke; In Med School at Time of Donation.
Catholic.
Sports, particularly basketball.
Excelled in math and science. (Inseminations occurred Dec. 12 and 14, 1988; possibly w/fresh donations). Update 06/05/13: Offspring graduated college with honors with a BS in Chemistry and a BS in Bio-Chemistry.
I was conceived December 15th, 1980 at 808 Broadway in Seattle, Washington. I do not know the name of the clinic, but it was probably affiliated with Swedish Hospital. It is possible that the donor was a medical student at The University of Washington at the time, although my parents were given no information about the donor whatsoever. I am interested in contact with any biological relatives, and to find out about my ethnic heritage.
First child was conceived in Milwaukee Wisconsin, around March-April 1984, with sperm donated from a friend of one of the doctors of the Milwaukee practice. They've given me no other information, and do not know where "the book" is.
The second child was conceived in Providence RI, with sperm donated Jul-Aug-Sept 1985, under similar circumstances as above.
