At 707 Broadway in 70's. Moved to Nordstrom Tower, then moved to Madison St in 2005. Pacific Gynecology Specialists (PGS) is located in downtown Seattle and is connected to Swedish Medical Center by a skywalk. Pacific Gynecology was originally partnered with Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Dr. Robert McIntosh started practicing with the group in 1976. Dr. William Coburn and Dr. Barry Stewart practiced here in the 70's too. Dr. Lee Hickock and Dr. Shaun Williams departed Pacific Gynecology Specialists in 2005 and opened up Pacific Northwest Fertility Clinic. See also Swedish Hospital postings for people who may have posted there instead of here.
There is a good chance that the clinic lied to my parents about my donor's background. When I discovered a half sister through another DNA testing website, we discovered that our mothers were told very different things about the same donor. If you were conceived with sperm from Pacific Gynecology Specialists, just get in touch! I am on GEDmatch.
Dr. Coburn was my mother's doctor. No donor ID number was given. Dr. Coburn told my parents that most donors were medical students. Also, he would pick a donor that matched my father's traits. I am 5'8" with fair skin, blond hair, and blue eyes.
Donor most likely donated at UW Medicine or Reproductive Technologies. Dr. W.A. Coburn was my mother's doctor. Not sure when the donor started or stopped, but was atleast donating in Fall of 1977.
I have no information, besides that Dr. Coburn told my parents, that typically donors were doctors, fire fighters, or police officers. Interesting note: I worked at a police department for about 10 years.
Additionally, the clinic tried to match my father's traits. My father is 6'3", dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and is Norwegian and English. Although, I am only 5'5", have brown hair and blue eyes.
I am a 28-year-old female searching for my donor father or donor siblings. The clinic was located at 707 Broadway in Seattle, WA 98122. My mother went to this clinic on July 10,12, and 14 of 1982 and I was born April 7, 1983. She was told nothing about the donor only that most of the donors were medical students at the University of Washington. Fresh sperm was used. My mother's doctor was Dr. Wallace A. Coburn and the nurse's name was Donna Reese or Creech. There was no donor # given to my parents but they were told that they would find someone who looked like my father. He is around 5"10, thin, German, blue eyes and what used to be light hair. I am 5"7, blond hair and light blue/green eyes. I excelled at science in school and have played the cello for many years.
I added this posting here, not because I was a donor at Pacific Gynecology, but because they were partnered with Swedish at the time of my donations and in 2005, both practices merged and became Pacific NW Fertility. I will put a post there, too. And, they (Pacific NW Fertility)are the ones to call for my records. I want to throw in here everyone I have spoken with has been so respectful and helpful in trying to figure out where my records were. In 1997, everything was completely anonymous so they won't give me any information about anything, but they did give me my Donor ID: #73. The child, once they reach 18, and the child's parents can get retrieve information about me.
