I donated at a clinic run by Dr. Donald N. Adler and Dr. Hal C. Danzer at 9675 Brighton Way in Beverly Hills, CA from 1989 to 1993. I reported on Dr. Adler's/Dr. Danzer's donor form that my ethnic origins are "Eastern European, Lithuanian, Russian, Jewish." I'd like to find out if children were born as a result of the sperm I donated, and I'm open to communicating with children and families.
I am rewriting this five years since I first joined DSR. My daughter, Peri is now 20, a thriving sophomore in college here in California, and lives with me, her dad. She is estranged from her birth mother and very much wants to connect to her biological mother...her egg donor. I cannot find a contract anywhere and the fertility specialist who guided us through all of this in the summer of 1999 has no records and does not seem to be able or want to help us. His name is Doctor Hal Danzer and the name of his organization in Beverly Hills is the Southern California Reproductive Center. My daughter's mother seems to remember that the donor's name was MELANIE GORDON. That is all we have to go on. However, I vaugely remember that Melanie was Jewish of Russian or some sort of European/Slavic background. I think she had brown hair. The rest is a blur.
My daugher is doing beautifully in school and has lots of friends. However, I know she has a very deep desire to "know" her other biological parent, or at least meet half siblings that may exist. I think those of you who read this will understand that this will fulfill my daughter in the deepest way, to give her a sense of completion...where she came from...a female identity...that is missing from her life. If anyone out there can be of assistance in finding Melanie, we would be so grateful.
Most important, last year Peri had her DNA test done through 23 and Me. As I renavigate this website to learn how to connect, can someone out there assist in showing us how to run it with members of DSR to look for a match?
Thank you,
Harold, Peri's dad
Donated to single female recipient who had a family emergency during the donation and she opted to freeze eggs for use at a later date. I was told she lived in Phoenix and her name on legal documents was Jan. I am open to communicate with donor or any possible donor children if desired.
