The information I have is mostly from memory since I lost the donor sheet, but I do recall that the donor was a student under Dr. Larry Lipshultz at the the time, and under the reasons for donation he said he wanted to help couples who could not conceive. Another story my mother tells me is that she asked the nurse which donor was the most attractive and the nurse pointed to my donor's listing. Not sure if that helps, but I always thought it was an amusing story.
Hair started out blonde, then turned brown. Was grad student at Baylor College of Medicine. Donation was with Dr. William Schindler, who taught endocrinology at BCM, and two other clinics in Houston (close to Texas Medical Center; dont remember if they were associated with BCM). DNA tested at AncestryDNA. PhD. Retired emeritus scientist and consultant.
I have very little information.
My mom used the Texas Womens Hospital in Houston in 1991.
My donor was a urology student in med school at Baylor.
My mom's doctors were Dr. Festi and Dr. Anding
I was conceived at (Baylor) St. Luke's hospital in Houston, TX in November 1984... born August 1985. I'm 5'4 with very blonde hair, green eyes, average weight. Have found a couple half brothers through 23&Me. All procedure/medical records were lost in hurricanes/Houston floods at the hospital, as well as, half siblings Houston residential floods so they do not have info on our donor either. Both of our families were told it was a "Blonde hair, blue eyed, athletic, intelligent Baylor Medical student donor". My half siblings were born in 1983 and 1985 (brothers from same donor as me).
Irvington high school 1963-69 (NY), Rice U 1969-73, Baylor College of Medicine 1973-77, UCSF Medical Center surgery internship & anesthesiology residency 1977-80.
I was conceived by AI from an anonymous donor about December 1973. (I was born 3 weeks late in August of 1974.) The donor was a student at Baylor College of Medicine. Mom's doctor was Dr. V.C. Buttram, and his office was on the campus at Baylor.
I'm 5"6", with fair skin, blonde hair and blue/green eyes.
My mother was told that my donor was a student at Baylor College of Medicine.
I was born in July of 1977 so I suppose conception would have been around October of 1976.
The physician was Dr. William Schindler.
I am 5 ft 7 inches tall, I was born with light blonde hair but it has darkened somewhat with age. My facial hair is a dark reddish auburn color. I have greenish blue eyes and my skin tone is light.
I know the donor was a BCM medical student. in 1979. I was born on August 26, 1980. I was six weeks early. They were supposed to match the donor with characteristics that were close to my legal father. he's 6'0, brown hair and eyes. He's Jewish.
Unfortunately, I do not have any other definite details about my donor.
MY Donor was possibly a BCM student or Houston area College Student in Sept. 1980 or part of Dr. Poindexter or Larry Lipschultz clinic as conception was appox. Sept. '80.
MY birth in '81; I have sandy blond hair; green eyes; 5'9";
ALERT! DNA is now on file with CABRI @ www.cabrimed.org also on FamilytreeDNA and 23andme
Just want genetic history; won't interfere in your personal life. I now have my own child and am still looking for my donor.
UPDATE 1/18/2019
Located my Donor through other means. He chooses not to acknowledge or communicate. Fortunately some of his DNA family is interested in sharing genetic information.
The donor was supposed to be a graduating senior from Baylor Medical that year. The details my mother gave me growing up were these (she was supposedly given this information from the nurse): He was 5'8", green eyes, blonde or brown hair, and his initials were R.B. However, my mom told me last year that she's not sure of the accuracy of these details because it's been so many years.
I was conceived by a BCM - or, less likely, a UT medical or Rice University - student on May 4, 1981. My mom requested a donor with blue eyes, but a brown eyed donor is still a possibility. Both my mother and I have A+ blood type. Also, I recently submitted my DNA to a voluntary database. This test revealed that my paternal family is at least partially Ashkenazi Jewish and origniated from Poland, Austria, Russia, the Ukraine, Hungary, and perhaps Lithuania and Latvia. My hair is naturally dark brown and my eyes are dark blue.
My donor was a student at Baylor College of Medicine. He graduated from MIT and from Baylor College of Medicine. He was/is a psychiatrist in the army and at one time was overseas somewhere in Europe. He also at one time was in the San Francisco area.
I was born on February 2, 1983. The physician was Dr. William Schindler. I am 5 ft 8 inches tall, I was born with light brown, thick, wavy hair and I have green eyes.
