** This is the info my mother was told, but I don't know if it is 100% accurate. The only thing I know for sure is that he was not Jewish, even though my parents requested Jewish (confirmed by DNA) **
Possible: Parents left Europe after WWII. He and a sister were born in Australia. He moved to Manhattan and was married (wife knows he donated sperm), had at least two kids. His son must have been born around 1981-1982, daughter approximately 1983-4. I don't know if they know their father was a donor. My mother said the clinic allowed each donor to donate to up to 10 women. No idea about medical history. My mother was also told that Dr. Brandeis did not use frozen sperm, and that he was not using doctors for donations due to the ongoing AIDS crisis and possible exposure. Allegedly the donor is a personal friend of Dr. Brandeis.
