  • According to 23&Me, I'm almost 40% Italian, but my mother is Portuguese with very little Italian (we each took a 23&Me test), so we believe my donor must be Italian. I don't know my blood type, but my mother is O+ and since mosquitoes don't really like me at all, we think I may be blood type A. I have hazel/olive green eyes, warm brown, slightly wavy hair, but it was blonde and curly when I was a baby. I've connected with a first cousin once removed via 23&Me, whom I supposedly share a set of great grandparents. If 23&Me is correct and we do in fact share a set of great grandparents, then their names are Angelo Santoro and Caterina Tursi, both born in Bari, Italy and lived in Brooklyn, NY. My grandparents may be one of their children. My mother's records have been destroyed, so we do not know which sperm bank was used but it's either Idant Labratories, California Cryobank (CBB), or Fairfax Genetics and IVF. I am currently registered in 23&Me, and I'm in the process of completing DNA tests through MyHeritage, AncestryDNA, LivingDNA, and FamilyTreeDNA.
