CryoGam Colorado, LLC. began as an in-house sperm bank in conjunction with the Gynecology Department of the Greeley Medical Clinic in Greeley, CO, in 1988. The CARE group of clinics (fertility clinics in various places in England, UK named CARE Fertility) imported sperm from Cryogam Colorado from about mid 2006 for about a year, to be shared out amongst the clinics. No donor numbers were given out, but the donor description is the same as Cryogam's.

2017: OUT OF BUSINESS. Established in 1971 as a public corporation and is a subsidiary of DAXOR Corporation. Started quarantining 1985. Donor sperm frozen in 1972 resulted in children born in 1994 and 2002. Donor numbers in the 100's begin with A, in the 200's begin with B, in the 300's begin with C, in the 400's begin with D, in the 500's begin with E, in the 600's begin with F, in the 700's begin with G, in the 800's begin with H. "Idant was one of the nation's oldest sperm banks until it shut down around 2015 after years of legal troubles. In 2009, it was sued by a woman whose child had Fragile X Syndrome, a developmental disorder that is among the conditions typically detected in genetic tests. The suit was dismissed because the plaintiffs could not define a "legally-cognizable injury." In 2004, state inspectors found that Idant had ignored the requirement that sperm donors be tested for genetic and sexually transmitted diseases. It was temporarily closed by New York state regulators in 1995 for failing to pass along information about "high-risk social and sexual behavior. And in the 1990s, Idant settled a lawsuit from a white mother who said it gave her the wrong sperm, from a black donor." pressdemocrat.c...
