Nordic Cryobank/European Sperm Bank

The Nordic Cryo Bank, also called The European Sperm Bank, is situated in Copenhagen, Denmark and was started in 2004. Nordic Cryobank (NCB) initially distributed sperm through CCB in the US, but now they do not- sales are through our European Sperm Bank USA site. Check also California Cryobank donor numbers in the U.S. to see if the donor there is the same number is the same as yours (CCB only has had anonymous donors from NCB/ESB). Donor numbers are four digits and begin with a 7 for this sperm bank. Nordic Cryobank sells to clinics, and patients will get the donor id from the clinic if they ask for it. If possible, please post both the donor name and the donor number. People in the U.S. get donor numbers (they are also on CCB's donor list), and people from other countries get the alias donor name if they have bought via European Spermbank .

Branches in Seattle and New York. (Main office in Copenhagen - see Denmark). dba: Seattle Sperm Bank. When donors are contacted by offspring or parents they sometimes contact their sperm bank to make sure that the people are legitimate. The DSR heard feedback from a woman who located her donor via an Internet search, reached out to him, and received a very warm and welcoming reply. He was happy to be in touch. He did however first reach out to Seattle/European Sperm Bank first to make sure that the woman was legitimate. Seattle/European Sperm bank sent her the following email: " *** has tried to contact one of our donors and according to our files this must to be you. As I hope you understand such action is not appropriate according to the term which the donor sperm is bought. Our donors are in the program to help women or couples having children. If it is an open donor the donor can be contacted, but only by the child and when the child is grown up. These young donors trust that they can be anonymous and this must be respected. Please confirm that you will not proceed with any contact to donor but comply with the terms and conditions, you have agreed to at the time of your purchase."

  • I am open to contact with donor siblings, their families, and the donor in whatever form and whatever pace everyone is comfortable with. I would also appreciate knowing about any medical issues that may arise in donor siblings or the donor and would be happy to reciprocate the same information, should anything come up. MEDICAL UPDATE: My now 5-year-old son (born 2011) has been diagnosed as colour blind. Likely from my side of the family as it is often passed down through the mother. However wanted other donor siblings and their families to be aware to look out for it as well. It's nothing I'm too worried about as he is doing fine in every other way.
