My wife and I have 4 children. 3 of them share the same sperm donor and 2 of those 3 share the same ovum donor. We also have a child that we adopted when he was 6 months old. When our oldest was 10 years old she began to ask a lot of questions about her sperm donor and potential half siblings. We put a message on the DSR 2 years ago and immediately connected with another family of half siblings. Since then our half sibling group has grown to include 9 families and 20 kids. The group is spread across the country. This summer 7 of the families are getting together for 4 days. Most of the kids have never met each other so we are looking forward to the get together with great anticipation. It's so cool to observe their common traits, likes and dislikes and their instant level of comfort with each other. Thanks to Wendy and the DSR these kids are connecting and growing up together. Us parents also get to expand our families with half-moms and half-dads and a bunch of super cool kids.
