The clinic said they had a married couple who had not been able to conceive, the problem was on the males side, and they decided on donor sperm that would be mixed with his, as I was told he had some but not enough and with mass comes protection, there would be a chance that the child would be biologically his. However the technician stated that is more for hope then reality. . I was told around 1992 of 1994 that a pregnancy had been reported from my donations, to a married couple who had jobs as a teacher and an accountant..The technician said they selected me as a donor because of my essay that the donors had to write....the question we were asked to write a response too was this "If your sperm could talk what would it say?" The lab technician also said that I looked a lot like the father and she had told him that , as she knows all the donors. She is the technician, that takes the sample and counts the sperm and preps and freezes the sperm. I stopped going to donating not long after hearing of the baby, mostly because darn it, if you wait five days before you can ejaculate, what time do you get with your wife ?? I remember that being an issue :, About 10 months after the delivery of the donor baby, I was called at my house to see if I would start donating again, because they had used up all of my samples in cryo trying on the first baby...I remember talking on the phone asking how could they use all the samples, and they use 8 samples per insemination and many-times more depending on what is going on with the sperm and the women. . I donated as often as possible to get enough in guarantee so when released there would be enough, I was told of a second pregnancy and that I did not have to donate anymore.
